The Foundation was originally established by Tony Semple, a former 9 year NFL veteran offensive guard for the Detroit Lions, and his great friend Craig Mortz. Its mission is carried out with the help of many who selflessly serve this organization for the betterment of others.

We as a Foundation TEAM, pride ourselves in offering the highest quality group experience around. OUR Outdoor Adventure camps offer an opportunity for all to hunt and fish, and share their faith, all while learning about each other’s incredible life journey. Benefit4Kids was founded in 1998 with its primary mission to grant the outdoor wishes of children with life threatening and life limiting illnesses. We also work to involve today's children in the outdoors and the many activities it offers them. Many of today's children are denied the opportunity to experience the outdoors because of costs, lack of available mentors and a limited amount of facilities offering an all around outdoor experience. Benefit4Kids works to help these children experience the outdoors through several children's programs. Benefit4Kids also works closely with several children's camps designed to work with injured and ill children. Instructors at these camps are experienced in medical procedures necessary to work with these children. They are also experienced in archery, camping, outdoor cooking, hiking, nature and many other facets of outdoor activities. In working with these and several other children's camps Benefit4Kids will continue to assist many less fortunate children enjoy our great outdoors and help them to learn the morals and family values that are so often lacking today.

Benefit4Kids is a 100% Volunteer Organization. We all have jobs and do this on our spare time out of the kindness of our hearts. This allows 100% of your donations to go straight to supporting the kids.

We are a non-profit organization* established to benefit those many individuals who love the outdoors but have terminal illnesses or disabilities that prevent them from actively participating in these traditions.
Hunts of Hopes and Dreams will provide these remarkable individuals a unique environment where they can realize their passion. Lodging, meals, hunts, and other recreation are designed to accommodate these challenges and facilitate interaction with the natural world as much as possible.

You and I think nothing of getting up long before dawn, slipping into that ideal position on the game trail, or pitching decoys into that secret backwater as the morning breeze picks up. We take these precious parts of a day outdoors for granted. Unfortunately, many folks cannot share in these experiences that so often are a bigger part of the hunt than the shot itself. Hunts of Hopes and Dreams was established to fulfill the hopes and dreams of individuals with terminal illnesses and disabilities – to make the little things we take for granted while being outdoors a lot easier for them to overcome and to provide an environment designed to accommodate their needs.

Over ten years ago, my entire family was changed when my father was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS). Growing up, my father was always there when I wanted to go hunting or fishing. He spent countless hours outdoors with me and his dedication infected me with a deep enthusiasm for these pursuits and sharing them with others. Since the progression of his MS, my father has been unable to get in the woods like the rest of us. My father’s experience, and its effect on our family and friends, is the inspiration for this organization.

This project is the result of many years of intense thought, planning, coordination, and dedication. Since beginning the project in 1999, my wife has joined the team, bringing her own passion for working with those coping with disabilities. She has worked with numerous individuals with disabilities and shares in the dream to successfully launch this project.

The C.A.S.T. “Catch A Special Thrill” for Kids Event was designed to create an adaptive environment where children, ages 5-18, and adults could both benefit, sharing a day of fun on the water that they may not otherwise have the opportunity to experience. Participants are hosted at a local lake, or body of water, supplied with a fishing rod & reel, t-shirt, hat, and tackle box, partnered with an experienced volunteer angler and escorted onto a boat where, with the supervision of a parent or guardian, they are shown proper fishing techniques and receive natural resources education. Participants and volunteers all then return from their morning fishing excursion to a BBQ lunch and an awards ceremony.
